Take
a bike around the island. Shark Bay is a good place
to go snorkeling for the day (don't worry too much
about sharks, they are only small black-tip reef
sharks).
However, to see the best places, go by foot as
some are inaccessible to motorists.

id the longest beach on the island which is around
2 km. long.The beach is covered with soft,white
sand and the water crytal clear and warm year round.This
is a great place to go swiming or just laying around.Here
is where the largest community on the island is.All
along the beach you can find many accommodations,diving
centers,shops and restaurants. From here you can
see the island of Nang Yuan very clearly

near the pier.

Chalok Ban Kaw This
bay is very curved and is almost 2 kilometers long.It
is a Favorit sport to visit and play in the beautiful,clear
waters there.It is a nice place to go for a swim
or luxuriate in the soft,white sand.This is also
a great spot to take in the evening unset.The ole
main community of Tao Island used to be located
here. There are many accommodations shoose from
as well reataurants,diving centers,travel sgencies,and
varous sops.

This beautiful bay is located on the southern coast
of the island.

Tien Ok
This is a tiny beach which is only 300 meters long
but has excellent coral reefs out front for snorkeling
and viewing the many varieties of fish and sea life.It
is very peaceful here . When the local boat aren't
busy taking,they are anchored here as it is a good
place of protection from any storm .From this little
beach you can see the point of ta to very clearly.Lacated
here are just a few accommodations and restaurants
to choose from.
Location
This beach is situated on the southern coast of
the island on the eastern side of the peninsula
separating it from Chalok Ban Kaw Bay.
The
John Suwan Viewpoint
This is a one of the poppular viewpoint on Koh Tao
Where you can view the unforgetable scenery of Chalok
Ban Kaw Bay to the west and Tien Ok Bay to the south.

On the southern most part of the island only three
kilometers from the Tao Island Market.

This beach is very peaceful and private beach suitable
for awimming and snorkeling over the colorful coral
reefs located here.

Besides being a good place to go for a swim and
to sunbathe it is a good place to Sample some of
the underwater ights available on the island.There
are may resorts ,bungalows and diving center located
here for your perusal.
